Return page editor
The Return page editor lets you change how your return page works, what it says and how it looks. A live preview shows every change before you save.
Open the editor
- In Falcon, go to Return page.
- Click Customize.
The editor opens full screen, with the title Customize return page.
How the editor is laid out
- Top bar: Discard and Save. Unsaved changes shows when you have edits that aren't saved yet.
- Left side: three tabs, Rules, Text and Style.
- Right side: the preview.
Save your changes
Changes show in the preview straight away, but your live page only changes when you click Save. You see "Return page saved" when it's done. Click Discard to undo every change since you last saved.
Preview
Above the preview:
- Localized content: pick which language to preview and edit. Available when you have published more than one language. See Languages.
- Return page demo: a reminder that the preview uses sample data.
- The eye icon opens your live return page in a new tab.
- Login page and Exchanges page: switch the preview between the sign-in page and the exchange shop. The exchange shop preview uses sample products.
Links and buttons in the preview don't do anything. It's for looking only.
Rules tab
Order lookup method
How customers find their order on the sign-in page.
| Option | What customers enter |
|---|---|
| Order + Email or phone (default) | Order number, plus the email or phone on the order. |
| Email + Email verification code | Their email, then a 6-digit code you send them. |
Display information setting
Store contact information: choose Show or Hide.
When you pick Show, type an email or phone customers can reach you at. If you leave it empty, Falcon uses your sender email address. When shown, the sign-in form ends with Need help? and your contact.
Text tab
The text you edit here belongs to the language picked in Localized content. If you have more than one language, the tab says which one you are editing.
Login page text

Most fields take up to 255 characters. Bottom description takes up to 2,000. A counter under each field shows how many you have used.
Match your bottom description to your policy
The default Bottom description mentions 30 days. If your return window is different, change this text so it matches. See Return policy.
Return policy link setting
The return policy link sits at the bottom of the sign-in form and in the page footer. Under Return policy link, choose:
- Default return policy: clicking the link opens a pop-up with your policy. Click Edit policy content to write it. Basic HTML is allowed: headings, paragraphs, lists and links. Up to 20,000 characters. Click Done to close.
- Custom return policy url: clicking the link opens a page of your choice, such as your store's refund policy page. The address must start with
https://.
Style tab
Start page layout
How the first page customers see is arranged: Centered, Split or Minimal. With Centered you can also choose a Light or Dark card. This is the same setting as on the Return page screen. See Return page overview.

|---|---|---|
| Return page primary color | Used for buttons, the progress bar and text links. | #000000 |
| Primary button text color | Text colour on primary buttons. | #FFFFFF |
| Button style | Brand color uses your primary colour for buttons. Neutral (black) makes buttons black and keeps your colour as an accent. | Brand color |
| Page frame | Inside your store theme shows your theme's header, menu and footer around the page. Full page shows the return page on its own. | Inside your store theme |

Colours must be hex values, like #000000.

Images must be JPG, PNG or GIF and less than 10MB. Click Remove to take an image off.

Custom CSS for return page Growth plan and up
Add your own CSS to fine-tune the look. On lower plans the box is locked and shows an upgrade badge. See Custom CSS.
Close the editor
If you opened the editor on its own page, click the X at the top right. If you have unsaved changes, Falcon asks "Leave without saving your changes?" first.
