Return page overview
The return page is where your customers find their order and request a return or exchange. It runs inside your own store, at your store's address, so customers never leave your site.
Where it lives
Your return page lives at your store's address followed by /apps/falcon-returns, for example:
https://your-store.myshopify.com/apps/falcon-returns
It is live from the moment you install Falcon. To open it, go to Return page in Falcon and click the link under Your return page.
You can change the address. See Add the return link to your store.
What customers do there
- Sign in with their order number and email or phone, with a code sent to their email, or with their store account.
- Choose an order, if they have more than one.
- Pick items, a reason, a resolution and a shipping option.
- Review and submit.
- Come back any time to follow their return, print a label or add tracking.
See The customer journey for every step.
The Return page screen
Go to Return page in Falcon. The screen has five parts.
Your return page
Shows Live on your store and the full address of your page, with two buttons:
- Customize opens the full-screen Return page editor.
- Copy link copies the page path.
A preview on the right shows your start page with your current layout, colours and logo.
Start page layout
Pick how the first page looks. Your choice saves right away. You can fine-tune colours, text and images in Customize.
| Layout | What it looks like |
|---|---|
| Centered | A card over your background photo. This is the default. |
| Split | Your photo on one side, the form on the other. |
| Minimal | No card. The form sits on the page. |
With Centered, you can also choose a Light or Dark card. Dark suits dark background photos.
On phones, Split stacks the photo above the form.
Set up
Two steps so customers can find the page:
- Add the link to your store menu: copy the path and add it to your navigation menu.
- Choose the address (optional): change the prefix and handle to match your Shopify app proxy settings.
See Add the return link to your store.
Languages
Publish your return page in more languages. Customers see it in their browser language when it is published, and can switch from the top of the page. See Languages.
Customer accounts
Explains how signed-in customers can start a return from their account, with a link to your customer account settings in Shopify. See How customers sign in.
Inside your theme or full page
The return page can show in two ways. You choose with Page frame in the editor's Style tab.
| Page frame | What customers see |
|---|---|
| Inside your store theme (default) | Your store's own header, menu and footer around the return page. It feels like any other page of your store. |
| Full page | The return page on its own, with no theme header or footer. |
When the page runs inside your theme, Falcon keeps its styles separate from your theme's styles. Your theme doesn't change the return page, and the return page doesn't change your theme.
Which one to pick
Most stores keep Inside your store theme, so customers can still use your menu. Pick Full page if your theme's header or footer crowds the page.
Branding
The page footer shows your contact email, if set, and your return policy link. It also shows "Powered by Falcon Returns". On the Pro plan this line is hidden.
